My poor, poor neighbor. Apparently some freak in the building can't tell cremains from cocaine?
Other theories?

UPDATE FOR YOU DEAR CONCERNED READERS!
Two weeks ago I spoke with my neighbor about his missing mother, and he said she did finally arrive. Apparently his brother miscommunicated when she would be showing up. He said (ominously) that his brother will soon need an urn of his own if he doesn't shape up.

Holy crap. That is so sad, which makes it hard for me to understand why I'm laughing out loud.
This will be made into a movie one day Marie. Who do you think will play you?
It will end with a big Tom Cruise/Jack Nicholson UPS court scene with them screaming "You Can't Handle the TRUTH!!!!!!!!!!!"
By the way, I am having a fondue party on Saturday with the Potters and others and I would love for you to come. I'll send you the invite!
I am NOT kidding, as I wrote that last entry the UPS guy dropped off a package I had been waiting for....what if I find ashes instead of a skirt?
I don't know whether to laugh or feel sad.
Eep. Poor guy.
I am trying not to make jokes.
Really, really hard.
Eep. Maybe the UPS driver lied about delivery. If they don't deliver the package they are personally responsible for it....
The sad thing is, the person who stole it probably threw it away after realizing what it was. People are so heartless nowadays.
oh man. this is bad. but i am DYING to know how it turns out. no tasteless pun intended...
So sad! It seems he should be able to track it somehow if a signature were required.
This is SO awful!! I hope we get to find out what happens. I pray that it gets returned.
Any news on this? I really hope good news...
Did we ever find out the story here? Is the sign still up?
Hey, Marie,
Have you stopped posting? And if so, is it solely because I have neglected to comment on a couple of your most recent posts?
In my defense, I state vociferously that I have been furiously, unastigmatically busy! I'm only one person, after all!
Ah, but you probably won't even know I typed this comment, so this valiant effort will be forever unknown, etc.
It, like me, will probably go down, forgotten and insufficiently loved, to an early grave (Whenever I die, it will be EARLY!).
So glad to see the happy update. I can finally sleep at night.
